The Maine Council of NAIW conducts four meetings a year.  Click here to read “Remember the Magic– Maine Council History”

Maine Council Weekend - is held in the Fall and is when our election of officers takes place. It is also the site for Maine’s "Communicate with Confidence Speak Off", an annual speech competition. The winner competes at the Regional level in the early Spring.

The associations in Maine take turns hosting the Maine Council Weekend. Friday night hospitality provides an opportunity for networking and fellowship. Saturday morning sessions feature programs of interest and diversity to the membership and a chance to meet the candidates that are running for officer positions.  The evening program typically includes dinner, a speaker, an awards ceremony, and entertainment.  On Sunday morning a council business meeting is held and installation of the new officers occurs. Continuing Education credits are frequently available during the weekend.

Council Meetings - are held in January, April and July.
